In this section an overview is provided of the processes used to transform inputs to products at both the Secunda and Sasolburg facilities, together with their current product slate. Also discussed are the interlinkages between these two facilities and Sasol’s Natref crude oil refinery, as well as the broader chemicals value chain.

From there, options for the facilities’ decarbonisation are considered, as well as carbon removal options.
